For those who just want to float fish and take it easy, well here’s your little bit of heaven!
This 2.5 acre lake is shallower, but still has plenty of bottom features and islands to hold the fish. Stocked with trout up to 2lbs, there’s always plenty of sport to be had. This is the lake for a family fishing trip, pick your base, set up the Barbie, and go catch the main course! We also allow fly fishing on this lake so that Dads and kids can fish together!
Bait is always available at the lodge, and if you don’t have your own rods, we can supply everything.

TIPS & TACTICS
Once you have cast to a likely spot, leave your float there for as long as possible. Constant casting and retrieving only scares the fish away and disturbs other anglers. Adjust your depth from time to time, fish lie and feed at different depths during the day. When you hook a fish, don’t try to reel him in straight away, play him out a bit so that he doesn’t break your line and then when he tires a bit, bring him in and net him safely. Don’t run along the banks as fish can feel vibration and this will reduce your chances.
